Pilates and Plunge Class

Pilates and Plunge Class

Pilates & Plunge is a 90-minute experience of strength, heat, and recovery - a fresh take on pilates in Vancouver. The session begins with a guided pilates workout in the sauna, thirty minutes of slow, controlled movement using body weight and resistance bands.

What to Expect

The session begins with a 30 minute pilates class in our sauna while the temperature is set at 60 degrees. Each movement is intentional - steady, grounded, and supported by your mind & breath. Guests will then get the remainder of the session to free flow between our Himalayan salt sauna, group cold pools, and tea & rest lounge. Leave feeling empowered and also rested.

The Space

Every element of the Aetherhaus architecture, from temperature to texture, is designed to calm the body’s internal noise.

Light is warm and filtered. Sound moves gently through wood and stone. The design language of the Haus invites you to slow down and inhabit your breath.

Learn more about the philosophy that shapes our space on the Aetherhaus Story page.

Our Design

Aetherhaus is not a gym. It is a retreat that merges mindful movement with elemental therapy; heat, cold, and rest.

Pilates is one expression within that system: a practice of alignment, strength, and spatial awareness. The body moves slowly, supported by warmth and breath, and is later invited to recover through cold immersion and stillness.

Guests describe it as “more than a workout, a reset.”

Why Choose Pilates at Aetherhaus

Most Vancouver Pilates studios focus on technique. At Aetherhaus, the focus is state; how the body feels before, during, and after movement.

  • Sauna-enhanced sessions promote circulation and flexibility.

  • Architectural calm supports focus and parasympathetic recovery.

  • Contrast therapy access (heat, plunge, tea lounge).

  • Guided and unguided formats welcome both first-timers and experienced movers.

  • West End location means walking access from Davie Street, English Bay, and downtown Vancouver.

Each class is limited in size to preserve quiet and intentional rhythm; a defining part of the Aetherhaus experience.

Strength in Heat

The class opens in the sauna where warmth deepens muscle engagement and flexibility. Each movement is intentional, focused, and guided by breath.

Flow & Recovery

After Pilates, the structure dissolves into stillness and space. Move freely through sauna, plunge, and rest as the body releases tension and settles into balance.

Rest & Renewal

The final moments are quiet and grounding. Tea in hand, breath steady, you leave feeling both restored and reenergized.

"A beautiful new space on Davie, I am so glad there's a sauna + cold plunge place in my neighbourhood. The team are inviting and helpful from the first impression at the door to the sessions. The interiors are spa-like, bringing the outside in with natural materials and evoking a forest like setting. I've been to 4 different sauna + cold plunge spots around Vancouver and Toronto now, and Aetherhaus is easily the most beautiful/aesthetic."
