Yin Yoga Class

Yin Yoga Class

Yin Yoga at AetherHaus is a slow, sauna-based class that combines the grounding rhythm of yin yoga postures with the gentle heat of a hot yin yoga environment. Each session focuses on deep stretches, supported poses, and stillness that bring the body and mind back to a state of rest. The practice unfolds between heat and cool; allowing muscles to soften, flexibility to return, and recovery to deepen.

What to Expect

The session begins with a short meditation in our Himalayan salt sauna to begin the process of unwinding. Guests will then get time to free flow through the space on their own time. Cycling between sauna, cold plunges, and tea & rest lounge to find rest and introspection. You will then be guided in the middle of the experience through a series of seated Yin Yoga stretches and poses. The session will provide another free flow to allow for integration and will finish with one final meditation. The goal is for guests to feel more relaxed and spacious in their minds and bodies.

Benefits of Yin Yoga

Recent research shows that slow, static stretching can reduce deep-fascia stiffness, support healthier connective-tissue function, and encourage a shift toward parasympathetic activation; the state associated with rest, calm, and restoration (European Journal of Applied Physiology, 2024).

At AetherHaus, Yin Yoga is practiced not only for improving mobility, but also for promoting nervous system balance.

Key benefits include:

  • Reduced stress and anxiety

  • Improved mobility and posture

  • Increased joint and fascia health

  • Enhanced recovery after training or sauna use

  • Better sleep quality through deep relaxation

Why Yin Yoga Belongs at Aetherhaus:

Yin at Aetherhaus is not a fitness class, it’s a spatial experience.
Each session connects movement with temperature, light, and material; aligning body and architecture to help guests reconnect with presence. The West End studio is intentionally minimal; muted tones, curved light, and acoustic calm; designed to quiet the mind’s excess.

Hot Yin Yoga

The session begins in gentle heat, allowing muscles to loosen and the breath to deepen. This hot yin yoga phase prepares the body for deeper stillness, bridging the space between tension and release.

Yin Yoga Postures

Each posture is held with intention. Stillness replaces strain as the body opens from the inside out. This is where the quiet strength of yin yoga unfolds - a meditative process that restores balance through time and breath.

Cooling Rest

The final moments move into coolness and calm. The nervous system resets, the mind clears, and you feel the subtle yin yoga benefits take hold - relaxation, clarity, and a lingering sense of ease that carries beyond the mat.

"I cannot say enough good things about AetherHaus. I love how beautiful the space is, how clean everything is and how thoughtful the guides are. I went for a Haus Yin | Stretch session, and I felt anew once the session was done."
